This is a follow up to the post about the timing issues. We received the E1.31 bridge, I made the DMX to LOR crossover cable and we put it all in place.
I used the network line that originally ran through the LOR dongle to the LOR controller. I plugged the line into the network switch, and the other end to the E1.31 bridge. From port 1 of the bridge I ran the crossover cable to the LOR controller.
The next part really surprised me. I already had my programming done in XLights for the LOR controlled lights. I figured I would have to reprogram those channels since I deleted the LOR controller and then added the controller back in as a E1.31 device. Once I did, the programming was still there and since I added the same number of channels back that I deleted, everything in the setup remained the same!
Right off the bat, the timing was perfect. It’s the small victories that drive us forward.
The journey continues.
